Check the bot and destination first

The current Cremit Telegram form asks for a chat ID, not a bot token. Delivery uses a bot configured by Cremit. Creating your own bot in BotFather and pasting its token is not a supported step in this form. Confirm the identity of the configured bot with Cremit before adding it to a group or channel. If you do not have that identity or cannot determine the chat ID, use Cremit support before relying on Telegram alerts.

Add the configured bot to the destination chat and grant it permission to post. Obtain the exact chat ID through an administrator-controlled method. Keep the chat ID and destination private as appropriate. Telegram delivery depends on that bot remaining a member with posting permission.

Create, route and test

In Cremit Platform, open Configuration → Alarms → Channels, add a Telegram channel and enter its name and chat ID. Save it, then select it in an enabled alarm rule or workflow notification action. A channel alone does not subscribe the chat to every event; the matching rule or workflow decides when delivery is attempted.

Use the saved channel’s test action with a harmless message. The test is queued, so check the destination chat and Cremit alarm log for the final status. If it fails, verify the chat ID, the configured bot’s membership and posting permission, and the recorded Telegram error. A Markdown parsing error can fall back to plain text; formatting is not guaranteed. Do not create a real credential exposure to test an alert.
